Are you single and ready to mingle? This year we’ve scheduled a Green Singles Social – by popular demand!
A safe space for single adults to mingle, chat, play some games and enjoy getting to know each other. Open to all genders and whether you identify as straight or LGBTQIA+
Here’s what one of our singles says, about why this is a fab idea:
“Finding love, and a meaningful mutually fulfilling relationship, can feel like a mission for many these days. And if you’re single and at Green Gathering – chances are, you might not have that much in common with the average Jo[e] an app algorithm offers. You might not even like apps. Shock horror, you might prefer to meet real people in the real world. But in my personal experience, this seems to have got harder over time. Now this may be down to me living in a small town – but it feels like – since dating went online – very few people within my age range seem to have the confidence to flirt or ask people out in person. And getting to meet singles can be hard – many of my friends are in relationships, and don’t have single friends to introduce me to. When I do go to places where I meet people - an exercise class, work, the pub, a protest, or even a festival – it’s very hard to tell who is actually single. Being single in itself is no bad thing. Of course some choose it as a preference –we’re not all the same. I do live a meaningful and happy life day to day, and I am grateful to my community of friends and family - I’d not be without them, whatever my relationship status. However, like many people, I do have a yearning and ambition to find love and build a life with a partner. To me, this is part of building resilience and joy and adapting in the face of the multiple crises we face in today’s world.”

The Singles Social will be a safe space. We might throw in some ice breakers at the start – and then you’re free to mingle, chat, play some games and enjoy getting to know each other. We’ll provide name stickers and different coloured wrist bands so you can choose to display your dating preferences.
What better place could there be, to meet like-minded, interesting and diverse individuals who will likely share similar values? And who knows what that initial meeting might lead to! If you’re looking for connections and love – this is an opportunity not to be missed.

Vegan chai, cakes and savoury muffins available - but it’s fine to just be there, no need to buy. We expect to be mingling in the cafe until around 3pm.
If this announcement gets heaps of likes and shares, we may set up a second Singles Social for another day too!
