Sarah Wooley

Bakers Union - Right to Food Campaign

The importance of the Right to Food, the campaign we are running and the two surveys we have done with our members that has fed into the campaign. Sarah will also be talking about the creation of the Food and Work Network and the plans that have developed out of that.

Sarah is the General Secretary of the Bakers Food and Allied Workers Union, the first female national officer the union has had and the youngest, with a background of working in Greggs from being a teenager, she understands the issues members face on a daily basis and uses her experiences to elevate the voices of people working in the food industry and allied trades, an industry historically seen as low skilled, but is very much the opposite.
