RED DHOLLIES

Learn and perform vibrant, energetic Punjabi drumming in an hour!

The Red Dhollies are a community drumming group, bringing this exciting drumming style to schools, colleges, youth groups and community centres for the past ten years. Based in Oxford, the group regularly performs at weddings, South Asian festivals including Holi and Diwali and are a firm favourite at community carnival events. The rhythm is infectious, promoting spontaneous dancing, lifting spirits and bringing a smile to the faces of players and audiences alike. Over the course of an hour, participants will learn to perform the iconic bhangra beat and we will end the workshop with a procession dressed in glittery costumes. We have plenty of drums, both large and small, and the workshops are ideal for anyone aged seven and upwards.
